Brie en Croûte Pine Tree (Print)

Golden puff pastry enclosing creamy brie, cranberry sauce, and toasted pecans, baked to perfection.

# Components:

→ Dairy

01 - 1 wheel brie cheese, approximately 8 oz

→ Pastry

02 - 1 sheet thawed puff pastry

→ Filling

03 - 3 tablespoons cranberry sauce, whole berry or jam
04 - 2 tablespoons toasted pecans, roughly chopped

→ Topping

05 - 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
06 - 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (optional)
07 - 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for drizzling)

# Directions:

01 - Set the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
02 - Unroll the puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface. Cut a large triangle shape to fully encase the brie, reserving the scraps for decoration.
03 - Position the brie in pastry center. Spread cranberry sauce atop the cheese and sprinkle with toasted pecans.
04 - Enclose the brie by folding the pastry around it, shaping it like a pine tree. Use reserved pastry scraps to cut small decorative branches and affix them.
05 - Transfer the wrapped brie to the baking sheet and brush the entire surface with beaten egg.
06 - Sprinkle finely chopped rosemary if desired, then bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the pastry is golden and crisp.
07 - Let rest for 10 minutes after baking. Drizzle honey on top if preferred before serving.
08 - Present warm with accompaniments such as crackers, apple slices, or fresh bread.
