08 - 6 ounces semi-sweet or milk chocolate, chopped
09 - 1 cup festive sprinkles (red, green, white, gold, etc.)
10 - Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling (optional)
# Directions:
01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, use an electric mixer or whisk to blend softened butter and sugar until mixture is light and fluffy.
03 - Beat in egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
05 - Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until a dough forms.
06 - Scoop 1 tablespoon dough portions, roll into ropes about 6 inches long, shape into pretzel forms, and arrange on baking sheets with 2-inch spacing.
07 - Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until edges turn lightly golden. Cool on sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
08 - Place chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth and fully melted.
09 - Dip half of each pretzel-shaped cookie into melted chocolate, let excess drip, then set back onto parchment paper.
10 - Immediately sprinkle with festive sprinkles and flaky sea salt (if desired). Allow chocolate to set before serving or storing.
